Hi there, I’m Coach Chrissy.
I never quite felt like I fit in the fitness world. For the longest time, I struggled, bombarded by societal norms dictating what fitness should look like.
Then I discovered the joy of running.
Running wasn’t about conforming to a specific body shape or adhering to someone else’s idea of wellness. Running is about your own personal fitness journey; discovering your own resilience and power.
This passion fueled me to become an RRCA Running Coach and USAT Level I Short Course Triathlon Coach. And since then, I’ve helped many women and men cross the finish line of their races!

What’s the difference between the Run Club and One-on-One Coaching?
Both programs are very useful but vary based on the level of individual customization and support!
The Run Club offers a library of training plans and group coaching calls. Members are able to choose one of these plans to apply to their calendar in Final Surge. They can also ask training or sports nutrition questions on twice-monthly group coaching calls. The Club does not include fully customized plans, email support, or individual coaching calls.
Individual coaching, on the other hand, features fully customized training plans towards your exact race and time goals. It also features unlimited email support from Coach Chrissy, along with twice-monthly individual zoom meetings if needed. As a coached athlete, you are automatically a part of the Run Club, also giving you access to the group coaching calls.
Your choice between the two really depends on the level of support that you need. One-on-one coaching is more expensive because it it includes fully customized plans and much more individualized support (via email and Zoom).
However, not everyone needs that level of coaching. The Run Club allows Coach Chrissy to deliver training plans for various levels, and offer group coaching that allows you to ask for help with self-customizations, training questions, or nutrition questions.
Can’t I Just Use Free Training Plans?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with free training plans – in fact, I have many right here on the site, and some of those same plans are also used in the run club. But…

More than just a training plan, the Run Club is a vibrant community offering group coaching calls and unwavering support, ensuring you never feel alone on your journey. Run Club FAQs
The run club is right for anyone who is at least 18 years old that wants to learn to run, tackle a new race distance (through marathon distance), or improve their current race times. (It is not designed for elite level athletes, ultra runners, or youth athletes.)
Membership in the Run Club does not include fully customized training plans, email support, or individual coaching calls. Members can instead ask questions in the Facebook group or on twice-monthly group coaching calls.
Yes! We welcome all fitness levels. There is a beginner “learn to run” plan that starts with 1 minute running intervals. This is the plan we recommend those brand new to running choose in the club. If at any point you aren’t sure about a workout or need help making adjustments to your plan, you can ask Coach Chrissy for support during group coaching calls or in the Facebook group.
Not at all! While we celebrate racing achievements, our community embraces all aspects of running, from joyful jogs to personal milestones. All goals are welcome here.
Final Surge is the coaching platform that we use to deliver training plans and track your progress. It is available to use via the app or website – whichever you prefer. There is no extra charge for you to use this.
When you join the membership, you’ll receive access to the Club’s library of training plans. You can select any plan you’d like and apply it to your account in Final Surge, and select your desired start date for the plan. This will automatically apply the plan to your calendar with all the recommended workouts. You can drag-and-drop workouts to customize them to the days that work for your schedule. You can switch plans at anytime, and you can also level up to other plans after you finish your first one.
Group coaching calls take place twice a month, typically the 1st Wednesday of the month at 9am Eastern and the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm Eastern. The schedule will occasionally change based on Coach Chrissy’s availability; this will be communicated at the start of each month.
No problem! You can submit questions ahead of time to Coach Chrissy, and she will answer them on the call. Replays are available for all club members.
Almost any topic related to running and sports nutrition is fair game! For example, you can ask questions about modifying a workout or training plan, selecting the right goal based on your fitness level, stretching best practices, strength training to support running, ideas for pre-run or post-run meals, how to fuel your long runs…the list goes on and on! However, please note that this is an inclusive group and for those reasons we do not focus on weight-related topics.
You can cancel your membership at any time. No refunds are provided for past payments. For example, if you made a monthly payment on February 1st and decide to cancel on February 15th, you will not receive a refund for the rest of the month – however you will continue to have access to the club and training plans until the next billing cycle on March 1st when your membership ends.
