I’ve rounded up some of the best fitness gear and wellness products for your family at BJ’s Wholesale Club. These are perfect for helping you enjoy your favorite activities and continue living a healthy lifestyle!
Here are my 10 best fitness gear and wellness product picks from BJ’s Wholesale Club:
1) Goggles
At the triathlon training camp I attended this past weekend, I realized I am in desperate need of new goggles. Mine are really old and just fog up no matter how much defogger or dish soap I try. Trying to sight this weekend was challenging to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised to see some TYR goggles at BJ’s on my shopping trip! They carry both adult and child goggles, which is sure to come in handy this summer.
2) Jogging Stroller
If you’re a runner and are having a baby, I think a jogging stroller is one of those must-have items. It makes it so much easier to train with a little one around. I used my jogging stroller consistently last year while training for a half marathon. Now my son (currently 2) hates it and won’t sit in it for more than 2/3 of a mile, haha. But from when he was 6 months to a year and a half, it was so helpful to have! This model from BJ’s looks like a good quality, reasonably priced option.
3) Healthy Cookbooks
Nourishing your body is an important part of a fitness journey. I know there are plenty of recipes on Pinterest, but I’m still obsessed with grabbing a new cookbook every so often and working my way through the recipes. BJ’s had a great assortment of different types for a health conscious audience, with plenty of family-friendly ideas. (I even saw the beautiful smoothie bowl cookbook from my recent post while I was there!)
4) Activity Monitors
Looking for a new activity monitor to track your steps, heart rate, and much more? You can find both FitBit and Garmin brand activity monitors in store. There are different models based on your activity habits and needs.
5) Paddleboards
Alright, alright – a $350-500 paddleboard is probably not going to be an impulse buy during your grocery shopping. 😉 But these are fabulous prices if you’re looking to invest in one. Paddleboards have become a coveted summer “toy” for adults, and make for a great workout. Plus there are all kinds of classes now that combine paddleboarding with yoga or other activities. {Have you tried paddleboarding yet? I still haven’t!}
6) Athletic Apparel
Whether you just want some comfy yoga pants to run errands in or you want some good quality athletic wear for your workouts, BJ’s carries some inexpensive choices that fit great. One of my favorite best fitness gear picks was a pink workout top and a pair of black capri leggings that I got there for running! You can also find some great Reebok brand performance socks. {PS – am I the only person that hates the feeling of socks once they’ve been washed for a few months? I seriously replace my socks all the time.}
7) Sports Drinks
People often have negative sentiments about commercial sports drinks (haters gonna hate, right?). But as a sports RD, I appreciate the value of them for many athletes. They’re easy to find at a wide range of stores, and are typically engineered to provide the right concentration of carbohydrate for maximal absorption. They can be a really valuable tool for runners and triathletes during training lasting more than an hour and fifteen minutes. (That said, I totally agree with folks that they are not for just sipping on during the day).
You can grab popular brands at BJ’s. Also, BJ’s offers their own coupon booklet and we found these awesome coupons for the sports drinks!
8) NutriNinja Duo
Any of my fellow fit friends love to make smoothies or energy balls? You’ll want one of these in your kitchen. I have one and am obsessed with it. There’s a drink container for blending smoothies, and a food processor container (the “bowl”) for things like making energy balls or a quick small batch of cauliflower rice! The bowl part is also perfect for making some strawberry banana “nice cream” with the family this summer.
9) Kayaks
Similar to the paddleboards, this is obviously a more calculated purchase. But if you’re looking for a new way to explore nature this summer, a kayak is a perfect choice. There is something incredibly peaceful about being out on a calm body of water on a sunny day in one of these. Plus, you’re talking an awesome workout for your shoulders, arms, and back with all that paddling.
10) Sports towels
Want to treat a fellow fit friend for her birthday, but short on your budget? Have a kiddo that kicked butt in a sports game and want to get them a little present? This two pack of cooling sport towels is just $2.99 and is perfect for anyone that enjoys being active. How sweet is that?!
