Pyramid Workout (a sneak peek into my online bootcamp!)

Modified: Jan 27, 2016 by Chrissy Carroll · 6 Comments

My online boot camp participants have been killing it the last few weeks.  They are tackling 5 workouts each week – 3 strength training workouts along with 2 cardio workouts – and are also changing their eating habits through the meal plan they receive {which leaves space for occasional cookies and wine, thank you very much!}.

I wanted to share one of the workouts from my program that they completed last week:  the pyramid workout!

The easiest way to explain this one is visually using the image above.  After a brief light cardio warm up, you complete this strength workout by starting at the bottom of this pyramid and working your way to the top, resting a minute or two, then working your way back down.

Beginners complete the entire pyramid (bottom to top to bottom) once, and if they feel like they have the energy – repeat it once more.  Intermediate/advanced repeat the pyramid 1-2 more times.

Now all the actual participants in the program also receive access to a video demonstrating all the moves and circuits, along with specific form tips and modifications.  Many of the other strength workouts they receive are fun circuits which are recorded with proper timing (including rest times) so that all you have to do is follow along with the video!

I love hearing successes along the way in our boot camp.  I have people letting me know they’ve lost several pounds since we started at the beginning of January, and they are feeling stronger and fitter.  Here’s a facebook post that was just shared in our group this week…

    SO awesome!

I hope you enjoy this pyramid workout, and if you’re interested in finding out more about the online boot camp for our next round, don’t hesitate to contact me at chrissy {at} snackinginsneakers.com.

Definitely – variety is so helpful for people that would otherwise get bored during a workout.
