Looking for a fun and festive Halloween snack? Try this healthy Halloween smoothie bowl! Made with just seven ingredients, this thick and creamy smoothie bowl contains key nutrients and is deliciously filling. I used chia seeds and cacao nibs to create the jack-o-lantern face, but feel free to use other toppings to do the same! (Admittedly, artistic food decorations are not my strong suit, haha – but I tried!).

Ingredients and Instructions
Here’s a photo of all the ingredients you’ll need for this smoothie bowl, along with ingredient notes:

- Frozen mango – This is what gives the smoothie bowl its thick and creamy texture. No banana needed for this smoothie bowl!
- Turmeric – Just a quarter teaspoon enhances the orange flavor and also adds a subtle warm, earthy flavor.
- Cacao nibs – These are little bits of unsweetened cacao beans. They have a rich, intense chocolate flavor. You can easily find these online and sometimes in the natural section of the grocery store. However, if you don’t have them on hand, feel free to use an alternative like extra chia seeds or chopped nuts.
Put the base ingredients – the clementine, mango, yogurt, turmeric, and vanilla – in a blender cup or mini food processor bowl. Blend until smooth. Then top with the chia seeds and cacao nibs to make the jack-o-lantern face.
Recipe Tips
Texture: You’ll want to create a thick, spoonable texture for your smoothie bowl. You might have to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender cup or mini food processor. Avoid adding extra liquid or it’ll end up drinkable rather than spoonable.
Toppings: Other fun topping ideas include granola, shredded coconut, pumpkin seeds, chopped fruit, or hemp seeds.
Protein Boost: If you want to add additional protein to this recipe, a half scoop of vanilla protein powder is a good option. You may need to add a splash of milk to adjust for the addition of a dry powder.
