11 Food Gifts for Men

1. Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup
If you know a maple syrup aficionado, I can pretty much guarantee they will love Runamok’s line of infused or barrel aged maple syrups.
Their infused line comes in flavors like elderberry, cardamom, and cinnamon vanilla – to name a few. That cinnamon vanilla one is personal favorite drizzled over some fall apple pancakes!
But their barrel aged varieties are where I really think they excel at an amazing food gift for guys. These come in varieties like bourbon and rum barrel aged. They take emptied barrels from local distilleries and let the syrup age in there for up to a year. The result is a delicious, rich flavor from the barrel (but with no alcohol content).
That rum barrel-aged syrup over pancakes or ice cream? Ooooh yes.
2. Pig of the Month Bacon
Is there anyone that would not like getting bacon for a gift?! I mean, fo’ real – bacon is amazing. And Pig of the Month bacon is especially amazing, with flavors like:
- Everything bagel bacon
- Bloody Mary bacon
- Thai sweet chili bacon
- Vanilla bourbon bacon
And that’s just to name a few!
I’ve done this as a gift for my hubby in the past and he absolutely loved it. I just grabbed five different flavors and had them shipped to him.
They also offer a “bacon of the month” club where you can get two pounds of bacon shipped each month for 3-12 months. (However, it might be more cost effective to just order a bunch of packages yourself at once, and pay the $9.95 flat rate shipping).
3. Meat Delivery
If you’ve got some steak lovers in your family, having fresh beef delivered straight to their door is the best! There are two options you can consider that I think are awesome for the holidays:
- Omaha Steaks – Have a family member that loves a big ‘ol steak dinner with all the fixings? I love that you can get the whole meal including sides and dessert in some of the Omaha Steaks gift boxes. We’ve gotten this for my dad for Christmas on more than one occasion and it’s always a hit.
- Walden Local Meat Company CSA (shown above)– Want to treat your family to locally grown, humanely raised, grass-fed beef? A CSA share from Walden Local is the way to go for the health-conscious hubby in your life! You can read more about my experiences with Walden in this post about where to buy local beef.
4. Grilling Spice Gift Set
Is your hubby one of those guys that loves to grill all year long (Snowstorm? No problem!)? If so, he might love a gift set full of different grilling spices and rubs.
This gift set contains options like Chili Garlic, Rosemary and Herb, Lime Chipotle, Cajun Seasoning, and more. Perfect for dressing up steaks, chicken, fish, pork, veggies…whatever his heart desires.
5. The Manly Man Company Jerky Gift Baskets
I came across this company after seeing a friend post about their beef jerky “flower bouquets” and had to check them out. I love the variety of food products that they offer tailored towards the guys in your life.
I snagged my hubby one of their gift baskets for men for his birthday a few years ago – the one I got had lots of jerky, a beer mug, and a bottle opener. He was a huge fan.
You can also order other fun gifts on here, like the aforementioned jerky bouquets, along with “meathearts” (like those little heart candies with sayings, but made out of meat – haha!) and bacon “roses.” Definitely one of the top options to check out.
PS – Need something to wrap their gift in? The company even offers bacon scented wrapping paper. 😉
6. Old School Candy
Take your loved one on a trip down memory lane by grabbing them some old school candy. You could grab one or put together a basket with a variety. Think of options like…
- Candy cigarettes (I don’t know if they still make ’em, but I was always partial to the ones you would blow and the sugar “smoke” would come out)
- Big league chew
- Warheads
- Blow pops
- Fun dip
- Pop rocks
You can order these online, or visit a local candy store near you that is likely to have a lot of these varieties in stock.
7. Unique Craft Beers or Ciders
We are definitely beer drinkers in my family, so when it comes to a boozy gift for my hubby or my brother – craft beer is where it’s at. Gone are the college days of Mic Ultra, and here to stay are the delightful, interesting flavors of local breweries.
If you have a guy in your life that also loves a good drink, consider hand selecting an assortment of local craft beers or ciders. Or if you want to make it more of an experience type gift, make a coupon or gift certificate for your hubby for a date day out at a new brewery.
If you’re up here in the Northeast, here are a few favorites:
- Hudson Valley Brewery (Beacon, NY) – This is the place to go for sour beers. They sell 32-ounce crowler cans (shown above) and you can find out about new releases on their social media feeds.
- Foolproof Brewery (Pawtucket, RI) – We ended up at this brewery on a quiet night, and the guy in the tap room was the best. He gave us a private tour, let us taste a new brew, and just made for an all around fun night. Their beers are incredible, and range from pale ales to porters and everything in between. A few creative favorites you may want to grab for your guy: Vanilla Espresso Raincloud (a rich, malty porter and blended in whole vanilla beans and espresso-ground coffee), Peanut Butter Raincloud (a peanut butter porter), and Mango Vango (a sour ale with mango).
- Treehouse Brewing Company (Charlton, MA) – I still have not been here yet, but this coveted spot carries some of the top-rated beers in the country. If you are looking for some amazing IPAs, this is the place to go. Stock up here as the cans of beer are only sold on site.
- Ponyshack Cider (Boxborough MA) – I love this small cidery, not only because it’s about 10 minutes from our house, but because the hard ciders have amazing flavor. Their standard Bliss cider is always available and has a light, sweet flavor.
8. NYC Bagel Delivery
There are two things that are hard to find in Massachusetts – amazing pizza, and amazing bagels. Perhaps I got spoiled growing up in NY, but there is just nothing like a classic NYC style bagel.
If you’ve got a man in your life that loves a good quality bagel – or one who does a lot of running and enjoys a pre-training bagel for breakfast! – consider ordering a bagel delivery straight from NYC.
NY Bagel and Buns or New Yorker Bagel are two companies you can try out. The first has less expensive bagels but charges for shipping; the second has more expensive products with free overnight shipping included. The best option is likely dependent on how much you’re planning to order. Both appear to have great reviews!
9. Make Your Own Hot Sauce Kit
For those of y’all with a guy in their life that loves a spicy kick in their meals, how fun is this gift?! This make your own hot sauce kit comes with the ingredients you’ll need to make 3 different types of hot sauces (Chili, Jalapeno, Habanero) along with spice packs, gloves, ph test strips, vinegar, and brown sugar.
10. Or a Done-For-You Hot Sauce Set
If your guy isn’t into making hot sauce on his own, you can grab a fun kit of ready-made sauces that he can enjoy testing on his favorite wings or grilled dishes.
I really like Small Axe Peppers for these gifts. What’s cool about their company is they’re a certified B-Corp that makes hot sauces with peppers purchased directly from community gardens and urban farms across the US.
They’ve got an Ultimate Hot Sauce Gift Set (pictured above) which contains two Small Axe Hot Sauces of your choosing, a hot sauce t-shirt, and serrano pepper seeds.
Or if a “Hot Ones” challenge is more their style, you can grab the 10 bottle gift set.
11. Fancy Ice Cream
Who doesn’t love a delectable pint of ice cream? If your man has got room in the freezer, try ordering a fancy selection of bougie ice creams. Yes, the pints are expensive, but all the more reason to get them as a gift (no one is probably dropping that much regularly on a pint of ice cream).
We really enjoyed Jeni’s ice creams, which come in fun flavors like high five candy bar, watermelon taffy, and powdered jelly donut. They even have some limited seasonal selections like Mexican Hot Chocolate and Boozy Eggnog.
12. Bonus DIY Option — DIY Candy Bar Love Note
If a do it yourself food gift is more your style, consider a DIY candy bar love note for your hubby. Yes, it’s a little silly and cheesy, but it’s also super sweet. You don’t have to be super crafty to pull this together either; a blogger pal of mine, Autumn, has put together a printable version of the photo above for you and all you’ve gotta do is tape the candy bars on.
