5 High Protein High Fiber Dinner Ideas

Modified: May 15, 2026 by Chrissy Carroll · Leave a Comment

Who needs some new dinner inspo?! As a dietitian, I love high protein, high fiber dinner recipes – and I think you will too. Protein is key for muscle health (especially if you’re working out regularly) and satiety. Fiber also helps you stay full longer and is important for digestive health. Together, they’re a power pairing in a meal!

Here are five of my favorite recipes:

    1. Kale Shrimp Salad with Miso Dressing

32 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber per serving

A bowl of kale salad with shrimp, avocado, pepitas, and other ingredients.

This salad is one of my absolute favorite recipes. It has a ton of flavor, thanks to a variety of ingredients and a homemade dressing featuring umami-packed miso. If you want to meal prep it ahead of time, just keep the dressing and avocado separate and add those two ingredients when you’re ready to eat.

    2. Chipotle Beef and Bean Chili

28 grams of protein and 18 grams of fiber

A bowl of chipotle chili topped with scallions next to a napkin.

Beans win again for their protein and fiber combo in this simple chili recipe. Using a half pound of lean ground beef helps round out the protein content; feel free to boost that to a full pound if you need to increase the protein in this meal. I love the smoky flavor that canned chipotles add to this recipe.

    3. Marry Me White Beans and Sweepotatoes

25 grams of protein and 16 grams of fiber

A bowl of marry me beans and sweetpotatoes with a spoon in it and some flatbread on the side.

If you’re looking for a vegetarian option, this is a great meal to add to your routine. It’s a play on the classic “marry me chicken” recipe, just done with more plant-forward ingredients. White beans add lots of protein and fiber to the dish, while the creamy sauce features flavorful additions like sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese.

    4. Chicken Vegetable Soup

30 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber

Two white bowls filled with chicken vegetable soup.

There’s nothing like a good soup recipe for cooler nights, though I admittedly will still eat soups all summer long. This recipe features lots of different veggies, including onions, celery, carrots, zucchini, green beans, and corn! A great way to get a ton of produce in one meal.

    5. Chipotle Turkey Apple Chili

28 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber

Two bowls of healthy turkey chili topped with cheddar and tortilla chips.

If you haven’t guessed it yet, I’m a big fan of chipotle and chili. This version has a fun combo of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors. It’s a great one to make in the fall when fresh apples are all over the place.

I hope you get a chance to try one of these high fiber, high protein dinner ideas. If you do, feel free to leave a comment or rating. And don’t forget to pin this to save for later! 🙂
